Urge Amazon to BAN the sale of Shark Souvenirs
Due to pollution, climate change and other detrimental factors, our oceans and the animals that call it home are being affected daily. A variety of sharks, who have been around for over 400 million years, are suffering endangerment, where the population is down 70% in six decades.
As some species of sharks make a return, the process of “finning” is what it comes down to. About 273 million sharks a year have their fins cut off where the body is just thrown back in the ocean. Although this is illegal in some countries and states in the U.S., there are a number of locations where sharks are highly affected. In addition, Sharks are being killed for their jaws, teeth and even meat. Using body parts and even entire bodies for souvenirs and consumption. Humans are the problem, and we need to make a change.
